The answer is…. yes, but with some conditions.

You need a P2 (Green P Plates) or open license, and the phone has to be in a cradle. The law permits you to accept a call, use a navigation app or accept/end a trip as a rideshare driver as long as the phone doesn’t block your view of the road.

You are required to maintain proper control of the vehicle and drive with due care and attention at all times.

The best advice I gave today was to “SLOW DOWN” and stop rushing on you Q-Safe practical driving test. Listen to your examiner. Keep up on your scanning & observations, mirrors, indication and blindspot shoulder checking. Slow feet - fast hands during manoeuvres. Follow the methods, endorse your training. Results of this was a great pass.

PLEASE BOOK AHEAD !!!

We currently have no before/after school or Saturday spots available before the next lot of holidays in September (which are already looking quite busy for both weeks).

It is highly recommended you book in however many lessons you think your student might need for the whole 12 months leading up to potential testing day.

If you do not book in early there may be a waiting time of up to 8 weeks (or more) if you are chasing those popular times - after school & Saturdays.

If you haven’t already locked in lesson times moving forward PLEASE send me a text or email so we can get you in the calendar.

The answer is…. no, only when signed.

A green light doesn’t automatically mean you can make a U-turn! If you need to turn around, check for the “U-turn permitted” sign, otherwise you’ll need to turn around somewhere else.
