Under 7s need approved restraints by law in Queensland. But here's what most parents miss: rear-facing is safer (even for older toddlers), top tether straps MUST be attached to the vehicle anchor point, and a loose or incorrectly installed seat won't protect your child in a crash.

Heard a clicking sound when you turn a corner? 🔊 That's often a CV joint asking for attention.

CV (constant velocity) joints transfer power from your engine to your wheels while letting them steer and move with the suspension. Each one is protected by a rubber boot packed with grease. When that boot splits, the grease escapes, grit gets in, and the joint starts to wear — that's the click you hear on turns.

Here's the good news: caught early, a boot replacement is a much smaller job than a worn-out joint. 🔧 In our experience, that clicking sound rarely gets better on its own, so it's worth having it looked at sooner rather than later.

Quick question: does your car have a timing belt or a timing chain? 🤔 Plenty of drivers don't know — and it's worth finding out.

Both do the same vital job: keeping your engine's valves and pistons moving in perfect sync. The difference is what they're made of. A timing chain is metal and generally lasts much longer, while a timing belt is rubber and needs replacing at intervals set by your car's manufacturer. ⏱️

Here's why it matters: on many engines, a timing belt that lets go can cause serious internal damage — which turns a scheduled replacement into a much bigger repair. Staying ahead of it is one of the cheapest forms of insurance your engine can get.

Noticed your fuel economy creeping up lately? Your fuel system might be trying to tell you something. ⛽

The fuel system — injectors, pump, and filter — delivers the right amount of fuel to your engine at exactly the right time. When any part of it is dirty or worn, your engine has to work harder and burn more fuel to compensate.

Signs your fuel system might need attention:
🔹 Increased fuel consumption
🔹 Rough idle or hesitation when accelerating
🔹 Engine surging or stuttering
🔹 Difficulty starting
🔹 Loss of power going uphill or under load

A clogged fuel filter is often the easiest fix — and one of the most overlooked. Dirty injectors can also have a surprisingly big impact on performance and economy.

When a customer sums up their experience in one sentence, sometimes that's all you need. 😊

If you drive a 4WD, this one's worth reading. 🚙

Your differential (or "diff") and transfer case are what actually distribute power to your wheels — and they rely on their own oil to keep everything running smoothly. That oil breaks down over time, especially if you're towing, doing any off-road driving, or just clocking up the kilometres.

When diff oil is old or contaminated, it's not just the diff that suffers — you can end up with very expensive damage.

Signs it might be time for a diff service:
🔹 Whining or humming noise from underneath the vehicle
🔹 Vibration when accelerating or turning
🔹 Clunking when switching between 2WD and 4WD
🔹 A burning smell after off-road or towing use
