Run your air con regularly — even in winter ❄️

This sounds strange, but stick with us: your air conditioning needs to be run all year round, not just in summer when it's hot.

Here's what happens if you don't use it for months at a time. Your air con system has rubber seals and moving parts that need to stay lubricated. When the system runs, the refrigerant circulates and keeps everything properly lubricated. If you leave it off for too long, those seals dry out and crack, which leads to refrigerant leaks. And once you've got a leak, you're looking at an expensive repair instead of simple maintenance.

The fix is easy: just run your air con for 10 minutes every week or two. Turn it on while you're driving to work or doing the school run. Doesn't matter that it's cold outside — you're keeping the system healthy, not trying to cool the car down.
