This mornings accident from the Jeremadra creek bridge south of Mogo.

Thankfully only minor injuries with the driver being taken to hospital for observation.

Caravan was detached and moved off the roadway allowing traffic stuck at the scene to continue on their journey. Upon the arrival of the crane, vehicle recovery commenced. Both tow truck and crane working efficiently to remove the vehicle safely.

Thanks to the crane operator for assisting so quickly and professionally.

Traffic will be under stop slow conditions 24/7 for up to the next 4 weeks while TMC crews repair the concrete balustrade.

Our team have left the scene.
Crash investigation are on site and conducting their investigations.
Road is expected to remain closed for a couple more hours while this takes place and contractors remove and clean up the scene

Last night Jayd & Bretto were called to the Kings Highway Clyde mountain for an MVA involving a small rigid truck. On arrival a loaded 4.5T pantech had collied with the guard rail and rolled on the top hairpin above the overtaking lanes.

The vehicle had sustained extensive damage to the front drivers side of the cabin. Ambulance crews assessed the driver and thankfully he was uninjured.

Due to the steep terrain, Brett’s truck was used during the recovery to secure the truck and make sure it was not able to roll away once uprighted.

Jayds truck being used to “stand up” the casualty. Slow and steady was the approach, given the load inside and its ability to move around while being uprighted.
If done wrong there is the risk the casualty could roll back over. The tilt tray then repositioning to load the pantech on to the tray.
