The adventure has already begun for one of our Horizon Boronia owners ready to take on her next destination π
"After the handover briefing from Paul, I shot off back to Sydney to get a few modifications done ... tyres and wheels were changed, a tow-bar added to mount my bike rack for my e-mountain bike and suspension was reset with additional leaf added to each side.
Sleeping in the Boronia was so comfortable and the convenience of having home conveniences a step away. It was pleasing to find that all my outdoor and recovery gear including 2 pairs of max trax, air compressor, inflatable SUP and 300W solar blanket were able to fit the boot along with the hoses, levellers and tools.
To get familiar with how the Boronia handled in off road situations I took an off-roading course at a private training facility in Braidwood. One of the more challenging parts was driving through ruts, some hairy moments there, but worth the experience and I now have had some practice dealing with. Next dry run will see the Boronia at Stockton Beach.
Iβll see how I go with getting her to float on sand in preparation for trips to campsites at 14 Mile, Warroora Coast and Coral Bay. Canβt wait! From dry runs thus far, this little home on wheels will provide all the comforts I need when camping in National Parks and free camps where facilities are limited.
The Boronia has been lovely to come back to after a day outdoors.β
