I’m sharing this here because my sister Danika is going through an incredibly difficult time.

Her cancer has recently grown after previously responding to treatment, and she has had to pause treatment while undergoing surgery. She’s now facing another tough chapter and needs all the support she can get.

One thing we’ve been coming across lately with outboards that aren’t running correctly is deteriorating fuel lines.

Some Marine fuel lines can deteriorate internally, with the inner lining separating from the hose and breaking down over time. The material can then restrict fuel flow, clog filters and fuel systems, and cause the engine to run poorly or even cut out.

It’s something that can easily be overlooked when diagnosing a running issue.

If your outboard is running rough, lacking power, starving for fuel or just not running the way it should, it may be worth having the fuel system and hoses checked as part of a service.

A small issue with a fuel line can cause some pretty frustrating problems.

Is your Honda getting serviced properly?

This Honda 90hp has two thermostats. One is hidden away and is very easy to miss.

If you’re only checking what you can see, you’re missing one.

There’s a lot of little things like this on outboards that can easily get overlooked if you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for.
