We’re excited to welcome a new addition to our expanding fleet, which will be operating out of Townsville in a couple weeks and driven by our newest team member, Kellie. This unit will deliver reliable support to mining and transport customers across Mt Isa and Cloncurry, while supporting our wholesale depot in Cloncurry.

A milestone for Pacific Fuel Solutions and a practical step toward the future of fuel in Australia.

We’re proud to be working with Change Fuel Technologies
on Pacific’s first hydrogen dual-fuel truck in Australia.

This project brings together two HW Richardson Group businesses: Pacific Fuel Solutions in Australia and Change Fuel Technologies, whose hydrogen dual-fuel technology has been developed and proven through real-world operations in New Zealand.

Pacific is a fuel business, and today that means supporting customers who rely on conventional fuels every day. But the energy landscape is changing, and we’re excited to be part of what comes next.

Change Fuel Technologies has spent several years developing and operating hydrogen dual-fuel technology, with a growing number of trucks already on the road in New Zealand. Now, we’re bringing that experience into our Australian operations.

The system allows an existing diesel truck to operate using a combination of diesel and hydrogen, helping reduce emissions while maintaining the operational flexibility heavy transport depends on.

For us, this is about learning by doing, taking practical steps today so we can keep supporting customers as future fuels become part of the transport landscape.

More to come next week as the truck completes conversion and undertakes its first hydrogen fuelling.
