Another one saved from the dreaded Holden Cruze transmission nightmares 😅
This Holden Cruze came to us suffering from a harsh clunk when selecting gears, flashing code 138 on the dash, ABS light on, and the gear indicator on the cluster randomly jumping between Park and Drive while idling.
After carrying out full diagnostics and testing all CAN communication lines to the TCM, we tracked the fault back to a failed Transmission Control Module (TCM).
These faults can easily lead people down the wrong path replacing wiring, sensors, or even transmissions unnecessarily. Proper testing is the key 🔍

Another modern vehicle stopped in its tracks by failed electronics.
This 2017 Holden Astra came to us with a nasty non-start fault caused by a failing steering lock module built into the steering column. These systems are designed as an anti-theft feature, but when they fail they can completely immobilise the vehicle.
The scary part?
The factory repair usually means replacing the entire steering column and programming it back into the vehicle — a repair that can quickly become VERY expensive. 💸
Instead of forcing our customer down the costly replacement path, we supplied and installed a steering lock emulator to bypass the failed module and restore reliable starting at a much more affordable price. ✅
This is where specialised automotive electronics knowledge makes all the difference. It’s not always about replacing everything — it’s about understanding the system and finding the smartest repair solution possible.

This forklift was starting to suffer from a few coolant leaks and was due for a service, so we headed out on-site to carry out the repairs and maintenance without the customer having to deal with transporting the machine.
After tracking down and repairing the coolant leaks, we completed a full service to help keep this hardworking forklift reliable and ready to get back to work.
Breakdowns and downtime can cost businesses time and money, so being able to repair and service equipment on-site is a huge advantage for many of our customers.

Another mobile repair sorted 👌
We were called out to repair this mobility scooter after the speed control switch had failed and left the unit unable to operate correctly.
After diagnosing the issue, we replaced the faulty speed control switch and carried out testing to ensure everything was functioning smoothly again and the scooter was safe to return to use.
These scooters play a huge role in keeping people independent, so fast and reliable repairs are important to minimise downtime and get customers moving again.

Another one back on the road 👌
This 2016 Ford Escape was sent over to us by D.T.S Auto Electrical after developing PCM related issues that left the vehicle unable to run correctly.
D.T.S supplied the replacement PCM and we carried out the programming, coding and setup procedures required to get the new module communicating correctly with the vehicle and have it back up and running again.
Modern vehicles are far from plug and play when it comes to module replacement. Correct programming and configuration is critical to ensure all systems communicate properly and the vehicle operates as it should.

Another tricky one sorted out by Lloyd Automotive and Electronics 👌
This 2015 Range Rover Sport was brought to us after the customer wanted a better key setup. The current remote had no emergency blade inside the key, meaning if the remote battery failed or the vehicle had an electrical issue, gaining entry to the vehicle could become a major problem.
We supplied and programmed a new aftermarket remote complete with an emergency blade built into the fob, giving the customer a far more practical and reliable setup.
Late model Range Rovers are far from simple and require specialised diagnostic and programming equipment along with the correct procedures to complete the job properly. These vehicles are heavily protected with advanced security systems, making key programming something not every workshop can handle.

This 2019 Holden Equinox was sent in to us from another workshop chasing a crazy electrical issue that had everyone scratching their heads.
The vehicle had:
No left low beam
No left rear indicator
Left rear door wouldn’t lock
Horn sounding every time the vehicle was locked
At first glance it looked like multiple separate faults, but after digging through wiring diagrams and carrying out electrical testing we tracked the issue back to a blown BCM fuse in the dash.
The cause? A damaged fog light assembly that had previously been smashed and repaired, creating the fault that eventually took the fuse out.
This vehicle also had a long list of fault codes stored throughout multiple systems. One of the biggest parts of modern diagnostics is knowing which codes are relevant to the current fault and which ones are simply secondary or historic faults caused by another issue.
Fault codes don’t automatically tell you what part to replace — they tell you what systems are seeing a problem. The real skill is understanding the system operation, wiring, and communication networks to work out the root cause.
After repairs and testing, all systems were operating correctly again.
