We recently came across a 79 series Land Cruiser with newer style automatic hubs with some problems.
Not engaging correctly causing some horrible noises 🫣
Instead of replacing with the same automatic style hubs we decided to go back to what Toyota should have stayed with, there original freewheeling hubs !
This style has been around in Toyotas since 1954 so it’s definitely trialed.

Luckily Terrain Tamer 4WD have all the bits needed to convert back to the freewheeling hub.
All sourced locally through Auswest 4wd dismantlers
This includes a new spindle, locking nuts, Genuine Aisin hubs and all necessary gaskets/dowells and studs to complete the process.

1993 Hilux 2.8 Diesel
With only 21000kms!
Well in fact it actually clicked over 1million kilometres late last year and the dash reset itself giving it a new lease on life !
Key is maintenance, more frequent oil changes - every 5000kms for this vehicle
We had it in for a timing kit with new water pump, flushed the coolant and replaced the leaky crank seal
We love these old Toyotas, less electronics the better we say!

A little while back we had a new customer come in from Mount barker for us to diagnose a oil leak

He informed me a few weeks back on his way back from Perth he had to put 7 litres of oil in the vehicle suggesting it had a very major oil leak.
He manages to get it to a workshop along Albany highway and they quickly diagnose it as a leaking rocker cover gasket.
Taking there word he went ahead with the work
Unfortunately that wasn’t the case at all, the next day a puddle of oil underneath the vehicle…

It came into us we spent a hour degreasing the underside of the vehicle to properly pin point the leak.
Start the vehicle and it was very obvious where it was leaking
A Faulty oil filter 🤔😳
One very happy new customer

We only use Genuine, Ryco or terrain tamer filters for this exact reason

Thursday night dinners are back at the club this week, and with our Think Mental Health Round coming up on Saturday, it’s a great opportunity to catch up with your teammates, mates and fellow Tigers.

Mental health affects everyone, and sometimes a simple conversation can make all the difference. Take the time to check in on a mate, ask how they’re going and let them know you’re there if they need you. 💚

On the menu this week is a mouth-watering Sirloin Steak served with fries, prawns and creamy garlic sauce for just $20. 🍽️

Our Tiger Cubs (U10s) are also looked after, with nuggets, chips and an ice cream FREE of charge! 🍦

Please get your dinner orders in to Gupta on 0429 422 388 or send our social media pages a message so you don’t miss out.

Let’s pack out the clubrooms, enjoy a great meal and continue supporting one another both on and off the field.

See you Thursday night! 💛🖤
