🌊 Supporting cleaner seas and healthier marine life 💚

At Cumberland Charter Yachts, protecting the environment we are privileged to operate in is central to our ethos. As a long-standing Ecotourism Australia Certified tourism operator and recognised Green Travel Leader, we are proud to support Eco Barge CleanSeas and the vital work they undertake throughout the Whitsundays.

Our donations helps fund their ongoing Marine Debris Removal Program and the Whitsunday Turtle Rescue Centre, which cares for sick and injured turtles from across the Whitsunday and Mackay regions.

Since July 2009, Eco Barge Clean Seas and its incredible volunteers have:

♻️ Removed more than 264 tonnes of marine debris
🐢 Cared for over 290 turtles
🌿 Conducted more than 60 land-based clean-ups
🔄 Prepared over 2,000kg of debris for transformation into reusable products
🙌 Engaged nearly 14,000 volunteers

The Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef are not only where we work—they are our home. Supporting organisations like Eco Barge Clean Seas helps protect this extraordinary environment and its marine life for generations to come.

Great experience

We have just disembarked from “Plenty” and we miss her already! Our departure briefing with Dave was spot on with awesome advice and fantastic recommendations. Our final docking and debriefing with David #2 was professional and efficient, we can’t wait to visit again. Thanks for making this experience one of our favourite holidays.
