1956 Dodge Fargo 🔥
This old Fargo came to us looking for a new set of wheels, but with the running gear underneath it, getting the right fitment was going to take a bit of measuring
The Fargo is running:
• XB rotors
• Wilwood brakes to suit a Holden HJ
• ZL Fairlane rear end
• 5x114.3 stud pattern
Before coming to us, it was running Cragars in the sizes of 15x7 +0 with an 8mm spacer on the front and 15x9 +0 on the rear, with 245/60/15 up front and 275/60/15 on the rear. The old setup was sitting a kilometre in under the guards
We measured everything up to work out the best possible wheel and tyre combination, making sure we had plenty of clearance around the Wilwoods up front while also filling out the guards properly
We ended up with custom 2 piece American racing torq thrusts in
Front: 15x8 -5 with 255/60/15 NS2Rs
Rear: 15x10 -25 with 315/60/15 NS2Rs
And we reckon we nailed the fitment on this one, giving the owner the gasser style wheel setup he was chasing👌
Have a look at the before and after, the difference is huge. The wider wheels and tyres completely change the stance of the Fargo, with the 315s really filling out the rear guards while the front sits nicely around the Wilwoods
This is a good example of why we always like to measure the car properly rather than just going off what someone says will or won’t fit. Get the measurements and offsets right, and you can make some pretty serious setups work
We reckon this old Fargo looks bloody tough🔥
