Summer really makes your car work harder! The cooling system is maxed out with Air con running constantly and everything is waaay hotter than usual! This car was showing very early signs of a head gasket leak although it was only a minor oil seep at this stage, along with a worn belt and noisy idler pulley. All can be recipes for disaster if you happen to do a longer trip than usual or on some of the very hot days we have been having.

If your experiencing a clunky feeling in your steering it may be your electric power steering unit. These have a bushing and are mounted under the dash. You will notice some play in the steering before it becomes firm as the power steering kicks in. Here's the culprit, pretty much shredded along side the new bushing. Give us a call if yours needs replacing!

If you hear a noise from your brakes, don't ignore it or it could turn into an even bigger (and more expensive) problem! Landcruiser prado, owner kept driving till the brake disc wore away that badly the brake pad fell out and so did most of the brake fluid. Very lucky to avoid an accident in this situation.

Not something I do commercialy but had a go at some paint correction today. Paint had become severely oxidised on most upper surfaces (White/chalky). Looks like I might get away with just painting the roof/rhr pillar/door.

Something a bit different. Heater core replacement including full dashboard removal and refit, Air con degas/regas and new cabin filters. If your car has wet carpets and coolant loss, chances are this is your problem.

Full timing belt, waterpump, seals, pulleys and tensioner replacement.
