***TAX TIME SALE - Long Range Fuel Tanks***

Australia’s not a small country, there’s some big distance between fuel bowsers.

This normally means you have a pile of heavy jerry cans on the roof racks. And everything about this is just painful.

Designed and manufactured 100% in Australia since 1994, 4WD Systems' long range fuel tanks are built to the largest capacity while maintaining ground clearance, departure angle, suspension articulation and being compatible with most other upgrades.

The first tanks with CNC laser cut construction, the first tanks with CNC machined flanges, the first tanks with CNC machined sockets internal baffles, fuel corrals, magnetic drain-plugs, and OEM sender unit fitment, these tanks are built to withstand the toughest adventures.

***LOKKA TAX TIME SALE***

You can have all the power in the world, if you can’t get it to the ground - you’re not going anywhere.

One wheel in the air spinning, whilst the one on the ground does nothing? You’re stopped

Both wheels on the ground with one spinning and the doing nothing… You’re stopped

You need a LOKKA!

The LOKKA is a fully automatic diff lock and has to be one of the best, most affordable modifications you can make to your 4WD to boost its raw off road capability.

It gets traction to the ground by automatically locking the diff when you need it the most.

Lift a wheel - that’s okay. The LOKKA will keep drive to the other.

One wheel spinning in mud, rocks or sand… The LOKKA will keep drive to the other wheel so you keep going forward!

And now, the normally sub $600 LOKKA is even cheaper with 20% OFF.

So be quick!

And it’s fully automatic. No wires, no switches, no air compressors or air lines – just traction when and where you need it.

GQ and GU patrol owners listen up.

We can repair and replace coil towers (even the rear ones).

Due to buildup of dirt, sand, rocks etc the drain holes in the coil towers often become blocked, allowing water to pool up and rust through the tower.

✅ the fix - remove the old tower and replace it with a brand new genuine Nissan tower. Some 2K paint and it’s better than new 👍

Every diff that leaves our workshop gets a date with the dial indicator. Some get a few dates with the dial indicator and if you know, you know 🙄

Why? Because to properly build any diff, we need to set the backlash correctly so that the drive is smooth and and the ring and pinion wear correctly.

Too little backlash, things bind up and wear out prematurely or just simply pop.

Too much backlash, your car gets a driveline clunk which causes damage to bearings, axles, gears and everything in between.

Moral of the story - if you are rebuilding a diff, make sure that you use a dial indicator.

We recently did a post on fuel filters

Today we are talking about air filters.

If you don’t like your diesel or petrol engine, please don’t change your air filters. You will be able to choose a new replacement engine really soon.

For those of us who love our cars, please change your air filters. Otherwise you get to buy new turbos and other expensive things.

In this instance we can see where dust and foreign objects have been abrading the compressor wheel. This compromises performance and ultimately destroys both the turbo and engine. You can see the difference between the old turbo and the new one by the profile of the fins.

So please inspect and change your air filters regularly, and for anyone with a Toyota especially, call us and upgrade your airbox.
