😂 OH BRETT… HOW DID YOU DRAW THE SHORT STRAW AGAIN?!

There’s always one job that requires someone to squeeze into a space that was definitely not designed for a human being! 😂

And today… poor Brett drew the short straw. 😳🔧

Sometimes getting the job done means twisting, turning, crawling and squeezing into the tightest spots imaginable because unfortunately, caravans don’t always come with easy access! 🚐🤣

But when the job needs to be done properly, you do what you have to do…

Even if that means Brett getting himself into positions he probably won’t be able to explain later! 😂

🚐 THIS IS HOW YOU PUT A CARAVAN ROOF TOGETHER!

It might look simple, but there’s a lot more to putting a caravan roof together than meets the eye.

First, we lay everything out, then carefully slot each panel together, making sure every connection is correctly aligned and secure.

It’s a one-panel-at-a-time process, with every join checked before moving on to the next.

Getting it right at this stage is critical because once the roof is together, every connection, join and seal needs to be right from the start. 🔧

This is all about taking the time to do it properly. Measure, line it up, connect it, check it then move to the next panel.

Because when it comes to keeping the water OUT… there’s no room for shortcuts! 💧🚐

🌧️ YOUR CARAVAN MIGHT BE LEAKING WITHOUT YOU KNOWING IT

First, the mouldy infill had to be removed… and once we opened it up, we found the timber frame underneath was wet and rotten. 😳🚐

This is exactly why finding water ingress early is so important. What might start as a small leak can turn into mould, timber rot and major structural repairs if left unchecked.

❄️ Winter is the perfect time to get your caravan checked.

If you haven’t had a water leak test done recently, now is the time to find those leaks before they become a much bigger and more expensive problem.

OFF TO NEW ADVENTURES! 🚐✨

A big congratulations to Marie, who is taking home her beautiful pre-loved caravan and getting ready to make plenty of new memories!

This caravan has already had its share of adventures, and now it’s time for Marie to add a few more chapters to its story. ❤️

We love seeing our caravans head off to their new homes, ready to explore new places, make new memories and enjoy plenty of time on the road.

FROM RESEAL TO ROOF REPLACEMENT - THIS ONE ESCALATED QUICKLY! 🚐💦

It started with water damage and a plan to reseal the roof… but once we opened it up, the job became a whole lot bigger! 😳💦

Once we started pulling things apart, we uncovered just how far the water damage had progressed. The timber frame was heavily affected, meaning the job required much more than simply sealing up the roof.

And yes… the process was VERY wet! 💦😂

This is exactly why we always say: don’t ignore signs of water ingress. A small leak today can become a major repair tomorrow.

Introducing Australia's biggest caravan skylight... 😂 Just kidding! It's all part of the repair process

When water damage has spread through the roof structure, the only way to repair it properly is to remove the damaged sections and replace the framework. 💪

Our technicians carefully remove the affected areas, assess the framework, replace damaged materials, and rebuild the roof structure to ensure the repair is done properly from the inside out. 💯

A caravan roof is your first line of defence against the elements, so it needs to be repaired with precision, quality materials, and attention to detail.👌

Those who know us well would know that we have been through an incredibly tumultuous year, to say the least. Earlier this year, we sadly lost our son Jack to su***de, and this has been an extremely difficult time for our family.

After a lot of thought and some very difficult decisions, we have decided to restructure the business and close our showroom so that we can concentrate on what we have always done best — caravan repairs and servicing.

It is business as usual in our workshop. We will continue to look after our customers with the same level of care and commitment we always have. We will also continue to retail parts and products when requested by our customers.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our customers, friends and supporters for their loyalty, understanding and continued support. It has meant more to us than you probably realise, particularly over the past year.
