ALDOM Transport Engineering Aldom Transport Engineering has been designing and building working vehicles in South Australia for more than 50 years.

Aldom has been shaping the future of fleet solutions since 1975 – proudly SA-owned and delivering custom builds, modifications, repairs, and E-Mobility innovation across Australia. We deliver custom built bodies and fit outs for some of Australia’s most demanding industries including defence, motorsport, emergency services, logistics, construction, mining, food distribution and cold chain fleets.

With in house design and engineering, certified manufacturing and fabrication, and a dedicated repairs and modifications workshop, we provide end to end support across the full lifecycle of a vehicle – from CAD concepts and prototyping through to build, delivery, upgrades and ongoing maintenance. Our capabilities cover purpose built tippers, urban delivery vehicles, plant and long haul trailers, remote and off road builds, body fit outs, access systems and fleet repair programs. There’s nothing like a BBQ to bring the whole team together! 🌭👏

A huge shout-out to the team at PEER for coming out to Aldom and putting on lunch for our entire crew.

We’re proud to have some awesome apprentices within the Aldom team through PEER, and we really value the relationship we’ve built with their organisation.

Our apprentices are an important part of our business. Working alongside our experienced tradespeople every day, they’re developing their skills, gaining hands-on industry experience and building careers in the trade, while contributing to the huge variety of projects moving through our workshop.

Having organisations like PEER supporting young people throughout that journey is incredibly important, not only for Aldom, but for the future of our industry.

And when they roll into the workshop with a purpose-built BBQ trailer and feed the entire crew, that partnership gets even better! 😂🌭

🔹 TRON Civil | Hino 300
A purpose-built civil service body with extensive tool and equipment storage, integrated ladder and pipe carrying, onboard power, lighting and towing capability.

🔹 1800-GOT-JUNK? | Isuzu NPR
A custom tipper designed around their day-to-day operation, incorporating dedicated storage, hydraulic tipping, independent rear doors, retractable tarp and a 3m loading ramp.

🔹 SA Water | Isuzu FRR
A highly specialised service vehicle incorporating water and chemical storage, pumping and wash-down systems, emergency shower and eyewash facilities, custom storage and extensive safety equipment.

🚛 It's amazing what a new body can do for your confidence... and your truck. 😎

That's exactly the transformation ACT Hire was looking for.

Rather than replacing a perfectly good truck, they partnered with Aldom Transport Engineering to remove the existing beavertail and replace it with a completely new custom-built Aldom body - purpose-built around the way they operate.

The result? A tougher, safer and more practical transport solution that's ready for many more years of reliable service.

Highlights of the new build:

✅ Custom-engineered 7.2m beavertail body
✅ Recessed 12 tonne electric winch
✅ Full-length anti-slip rubber deck

Supplied as a flat pack, our team completed the full assembly and integration onto the vehicle.
