Some time ago, a gentleman purchased a Barra standalone harness from me. I currently have his completed harness and other parts here ready to go, however I’ve been unable to locate his contact details to get in touch with him.

Hey everyone, just a quick update, after some recent issues with the van and a few unexpected delays, I’m planning to be back on the road and back to work from next week.

🛠️ Greens Mobile Auto – What We’ve Been Up To! 🚗

It’s been a little while between posts — but that’s only because we’ve been flat out! Here’s a quick update on a few of the jobs we’ve had on recently:

🔧 12HT 60 Series LandCruiser Rebuild
This one came in with a blown head gasket, so we stripped it down and gave it a full top-end rebuild. While the head was off getting reconditioned by Rick Corbett Engines, we inspected and prepped the block to make sure everything was spot-on. It’s now back together and running beautifully — the owner couldn’t be happier! We’ll catch up with it again in about 1000km for a valve clearance reset.

🚐 Work Van Troubles – Limp Mode Drama
Our own van decided to chuck a tantrum and kept going into limp mode. Originally we suspected a failing injector, but after some digging, it turned out to be a dodgy old wiring repair — someone had attempted to connect wiring to the connector pins but it wasnt a solid connection. Safe to say it wasn’t the right fix. We’ve now sorted it properly and the van’s back doing what it should.

⚡ AU SOHC Turbo Falcon – Barra ECU & Loom Build
We’ve also been working on a Barra ECU swap into an AU Falcon SOHC turbo setup, using one of our custom body looms. The customer was having issues with throttle response — after checking over the wiring, we found some incorrect connections and that the ECU had only had security removed with no other setup done.
We’ve since written a fresh start-up tune from scratch (still new to tuning but constantly learning and training!), and we’re getting good pedal response now. Next steps are setting up fuel pump and fan triggers, converting it to FG coils, and tidying up a few other bits of wiring before it gets sent off for a dyno tune.

We were recently given the opportunity to assist in getting this Variety Bash car up and running with a standalone Barra setup—and we were more than happy to help!

We donated one of our custom looms and took care of the full install of the loom, including configuring the ECU using PCMtec to disable all necessary parameters and get it running smoothly in its new home. The result? A Barra-powered beast ready to hit the road for an incredible cause, with just a few finishing touches left before it embarks on its charity journey.

Forklift Repair – Sorted in Just a Few Hours! 🪛🔧

We were called out to inspect a misfire on this Hyster forklift and quickly found the culprit—a faulty ignition lead. But during a general inspection, we noticed the accessory belt had come off and wasn’t driving any of the key components. The customer also mentioned hearing a loud noise from that area…

Further investigation revealed the fan hub bearings had completely collapsed⛓️‍💥. We sourced replacement bearings on the spot and rebuilt the hub back to as-new condition—all within a couple of hours.⚙️

While we were at it, we also fitted a brand new seat (the old one had definitely done its time!) and upgraded the forklift with a new retractable seatbelt—replacing the worn-out, non-retractable original.✅

One smooth-running forklift and a very happy customer!🔧

Good morning valued customers,

Just a quick update to let you all know that I’m currently off the road due to some emergency repairs required on my work van. I’m aiming to have everything sorted and be back up and running by tomorrow.

Apologies for any inconvenience or missed bookings—thank you for your understanding and continued support.

In the meantime, here are some photos from a recent job installing an aftermarket head unit and reverse camera on a regular customer’s Toyota Corolla. The customer was absolutely wrapped to now have all the modern-day tech—Apple CarPlay, a digital touchscreen, and a reverse camera! What an awesome little setup.

‼️‼️Stolen Vehicle Alert – VK Calais‼️‼️

Good evening valued customers,

I am reaching out to the community in the hope that someone may have seen or heard something regarding the theft of a vehicle. Early this morning, a VK Calais was stolen from Gawler East. This vehicle holds significant sentimental value to the owner, as it was passed down from his late father.

Given the current condition of the car, it would need to be towed or pushed, as it has a broken differential and the tailshaft is disconnected. The VK Calais is a distinctive car and is not something typically seen on the roads.

If you have seen this vehicle being towed or in an unusual location around the Gawler area today, or have any information that may assist, please contact me directly. Your identity can remain anonymous if preferred. There is a substantial cash reward for any information that leads to the recovery of the vehicle.
