Based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, East West Contracting is a family-owned professional asphalt construction company, as the Australian Distributor of CIMLINE Crack Sealing Trailers, AUSROAD is committed to supporting operators with industry-leading equipment and training.

Celebrating two decades of dedication! 🎉

Our last staff monthly BBQ was all about Ray Beaumont our exceptional Production Planner who’s just hit the 20 year milestone at AUSROAD! 👏✨

Ray’s journey to Production Planner has been an inspiring one, during the celebration, CEO Toni Dunlop reflected on Ray’s lasting impact:

“Ray started with Ausroad as an “Auto Electrical Tech” and has worked his way up through the ranks to Lead Project Planner. There are very few areas of the business he has not be involved in over the years. He has also taken on supporting the management and helping with process improvement at our Philippines factory, a passion of his.

Ray was instrumental in development of the Stemming Trucks; he drew the first design which is still recognisable in the designs today. I think it’s remarkable that this design and innovation has resulted in a process change for most of Australia’s Tier 1 Miners and the way they operate their businesses, Ray was instrumental in that.

Many of Ray’s “light bulb” moments are still included in current designs, including the “hopper hatch” which solved several issues with one idea, down to the clever multi-part safety guards we still use on our conveyor drives.

Ray always has a reasoned and well thought out opinion which I’ve come to rely on. His steady and reliable advice is always worth listening to.”

16,125 km | 5 Weeks | 1 Epic Road Trip 🚛🛣️

Earlier this year, our Hire Manager (Road Maintenance), Darryl Hunter, hit the road on an incredible journey from Brisbane to Western Australia – covering over 16,000km in just five weeks!

With AUSROAD’s expanded hire fleet now available in WA and operating out of our Parts Distribution Facility in Jandakot (Perth), Darryl was eager to visit new and existing customers face-to-face — a true reflection of our commitment to hands-on customer support.

Along the way, Darryl called into Local Government depots, meeting with Works Officers, Operators and Maintenance Staff, DM Roads’ South Australia, Transport for NSW, Broken Hill, Regional Victoria Customers and Local Government Associations to name a few.

One of many stops on Darryl’s WA itinerary took him to the Shire of Bruce Rock, in the heart of the Wheatbelt region—around 250km east of Perth. The Shire has recently wet hired one of our Multipatcher Road Maintenance Trucks, complete with an experienced AUSROAD operator, to support their ongoing road maintenance program.

With over 500km of sealed roads to maintain, the team at Bruce Rock is putting this equipment to great use—ensuring timely repairs and preserving the longevity of their road network. Regular maintenance like this plays a critical role in extending road life and protecting against deeper damage following rain events.

Sincere thanks to Darryl’s wife Tiana Hunter, and to Jarrod Scown (Operations Coordinator) and Nicholas Broom (Plant Coordinator) for keeping things running smoothly in Brisbane during this extended trip. It’s the dedication of our team — both on the road and at home — that keeps AUSROAD delivering the support our customers deserve.

Metron reimagines the traditional dipping process, replacing it with advanced technology that enhances productivity, safety, and data accuracy. This user-friendly Metron widget collects essential data to inform blast pattern design, reducing misfires and costly mistakes.💰💵

They also got to experience a great APEM tradition—the weekly staff basketball game! 🏀

As we step into 2025, we’re excited for the opportunities, changes, and challenges that await. Our Head Office in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane, has fully reopened and we’re ready to hit the ground running for another productive year!

Looking back, 2024 was a milestone year for Ausroad with many exciting achievements:
