Einen Truck über die gesamte Dauer einer Reise ‘fit’ zu halten erfordert ab und zu ein wenig Aufmerksamkeit und Pflege. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Was dabei zu beachten ist, erfuhren die Teilnehmer heute aus erster hand von Expeditionsleiter Hans. Und das direkt an einem der schönsten Übernachtungsplätzen des Trips! ☀️🌵🐫

Keeping a truck in good shape throughout an entire journey requires a bit of attention and care from time to time. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Today, the participants learned firsthand from expedition leader Hans what needs to be kept in mind—all while at one of the most beautiful overnight spots of the entire trip! ☀️🌵🐫

Natürlich sind die täglichen Workshops und Challenges nur ein Teil der Reise. 🚛💪🏻 Jeden Abend schlagen wir unser Camp and einer neuen, unglaublichen Location auf. Denn das schöne an der marokkanischen Sahara ist, dass kein Ort wie der andere ist. Einfach unglaublich! ☀️🐫

Of course, the daily workshops and challenges are only one part of the journey. 🚛💪🏻 Every evening we set up camp in a new, incredible location. The beauty of the Moroccan Sahara is that no two places are alike. Simply amazing! ☀️🐫

Es geht ans Eingemachte! Das Gelände wird schön langsam schwieriger und die Übungen ebenfalls. ☀️🌵🐫 Heute stand ‘Rückwärts Einparken’ auf dem Programm. Gar nicht so einfach, eine 15 Tonnen Truck in einem Zug rückwärts in eine enge Gasse zu rangieren. Die ‘Gasse’ war Gott sei Dank nur eine Markierung am Boden & die Teilnehmer konnten sich in aller Ruhe aufs Rangieren konzentrieren. 🚛💪🏻

The going gets tough! The terrain is getting more difficult & so do the challenges. ☀️🌵🐫 Today’s task: Backing up into a narrow spot. Not an easy thing to reverse a 15 ton truck into a narrow alley in just one turn, but fortunately the ‘alley’ was just a marked area in the sand and the participants were able to focus fully on reversing. 🚛💪🏻

Das mit dem Radwechsel ist so eine Sache: Auf festem Untergrund bei einem LKW schon ein echter Kraftakt kann das ganze im Sand zu einer echten Herausforderung werden. ☀️ Gut dass alles erstmal eine Übung ist, bei der Nancy und Hans mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen 🚛💪🏻

Changing a wheel is quite a task: while it’s already a real feat of strength on solid ground when dealing with a truck, doing it in the sand can become a genuine challenge. ☀️ It’s a good thing that, for now, it’s all just a practice run—with Nancy and Hans on hand to offer help and advice! 🚛💪🏻

Nach einem ziemlich feuchten Start geht es jetzt wirklich ab in die Wüste! ☀️🌵🐫 Von Ain Bni Mathar aus ging’s über Bouarfa nach Merzouga an der Grenze zu Algerien. Einige Übungen liegen schon hinter uns, zum Beispiel der Reifenwechsel auf Sand 💪🏻

After a rather wet start, we’re now truly heading into the desert! ☀️🌵🐫 From Ain Bni Mathar, the route took us via Bouarfa to Merzouga, near the border with Algeria. We have already completed a few exercises—for instance, changing tires on sand! 💪🏻

Yesterday, Brigitte was in Schladming and gave herself the best birthday present ever: her new Rhino R17 🎂🚚🤩 Together with dachshund Quera, she’s now off to Morocco for our training trip! 🐫🚛
