As a local , I would mention these 3 top reasons why Albania is also worth visiting during off -season .
1. You get to enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains and ocean mixed perfectly together in the Riviera ,while in North Albania you can enjoy the ride through the mountains which are completely covered in snow.Winter is also the perfect time to explore more traditional Albanian dishes especially in small remote villages where you can rent an accommodation and get to try amazing dishes prepared for you by locals with love.
2.Having to mention that most of the car rental companies are closed during the winter time ,but the few of those who operate ,are willing to offer flexible times for pick up and drop off .Due to low request,these companies are available and ready to go far and beyond to fulfill their clients' requests so they leave Albania with a good taste!
3. The final and most important reason ,is saving money and relaxing in quiet.Most of the spots in Albania (especially south) can get expensive during the summer season .Visiting in winter gives you the chance to spend less and enjoy more without stressing about the crowds,making it an intimate experince for solo-travellers ,couples or groups .
