Team FAB Racing and Team BZR Bullzai Racing made their joint collaboration this year at the Emirates Drift Championship Round 3 with a sole thought to compete with the Middle East region contenders. We previously planned to provide a fresh new debut for the newly supercharged LS3 S14 Wild Boss and the 2JZ Toyota Altezza. Unfortunately, the LS3 Supercharged S14 Wild Boss was forced to retire due to a power steering failure detected during the dyno testing session before heading into the big event, leaving Bullzai as the sole fighter to face the battle.
Due to the difference in climate and track surface, we conducted two safe practice runs to familiarize with the track. As we increased the pace of our practice runs, a gearbox issue and minor leaks were detected at the engine bay. The professional care of Ashaari AUTO Garage managed to solve the issue within this particular round.
We produced a secure run for our qualifying session and ranked 9th place out of 44 registered drifters. We took the win against Michael Hazeem at the Top 16 and moved on against the top qualifier, Ahmad Daham which currently sits second on the overall standings. The battle against Ahmad Daham was an intense one only to end up with a stall approaching the first front clipping point on our lead run.
In conclusion, we qualified 9th and finished 5th in Emirates Drift Competition Round 3 which placed us as 17th overall in the event with only one round participation by the team.
Special thanks to team FAB Racing for the opportunity and our sponsors: Saden Advanced, Jahiz, REXXO, Al Rhad, Eaco Distribution, Pro Care, Motorplex Rally Academy and TOM'S STICKERS.
