The Lexus IS received a full redesign for 2014, completely shying away from their usual conservative styling. In 2016, the IS250 was replaced by the IS200t, which comes with a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The other engine remains the same, which is the 3.5-litre V6 with an 8-speed automatic transmission in the IS 350. The new generation is more driver-focused, ergonomic interior features lower driver position and it gets 60/40 split folding rear seats for cargo-carrying versatility. Standard features include LED Daytime Running Lights, fabric or premium NuLuxe seat surfaces with eight-way power-adjustable front sport seats, user-selectable drive modes, HID headlamps with headlamp washers, Lexus Display Audio and more. There is the F SPORT package which has the optional "G-AI control", that actively matches gear changes to g-forces generated during cornering. F SPORT models also feature special interior and exterior styling, including unique seats. The F SPORT package also adds specially-tuned suspension plus many special F SPORT details, including a unique front fascia with mesh spindle grille, distinctive LFA-inspired 18-inch aluminium alloy wheels, sport front seats with lightweight NuLuxe seat surfaces, perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift k**b, interior trim, aluminium door-sill trim, and more.

TOYOTA AVALON
The American-built Avalon now shares its front-wheel-drive platform as well as several mechanical bits with the Lexus ES, including the engine. The 3.5-litre V6 is mated with a 6-speed automatic with tiptronic functionality. In the UAE, the base Avalon S model comes with 17-inch alloys, smart key, 8-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with Bluetooth, USB/AUX ports, 6.1-inch touchscreen, auto a/c, auto-dimming mirror with compass, power front seats, cruise control, leatherette seats, halogen auto headlights with fog lamps, 10 airbags, ABS, stability control and dealer-installed front-rear parking sensors. The Avalon SE model adds a 7-inch touchscreen, HDD navigation, rear camera and an 11-speaker stereo with voice-control. The Avalon SE Plus model further adds further-adjustable power front seats with ventilation, premium leather, remote starter, paddle shifters, mirror puddle-lamps, HID headlights, and a power rear sun-shade. The Avalon Grande additionally comes with adaptive cruise control and a pre-crash safety system. For KSA, the Avalon XLE base model is similar to the S trim above, lacking fog lamps and parking sensors, but gaining a WiFi feature. The Avalon Limited in KSA corresponds to the SE Plus trim above, but without nav or rear camera, which are optional.

LEXUS ES 350

The Lexus ES is pretty much the luxury carmaker's bread-and-butter sedan, with its comfort-biased approach and focus on convenience features.
The current-generation ES is especially roomy for rear passengers, since it shares its platform architecture and overall footprint with the Toyota Avalon full-size sedan. As such, it's an excellent option for buyers who plan to make regular use of the backseat. The elegant interior appointments that have always characterized the ES haven't gone anywhere, either: The quality of the materials and craftsmanship remains a strong point in the 2014 ES 350 and certainly a solid justification for spending more for the Lexus than a workaday Toyota.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch wheels, xenon headlights, LED running lights, fog lights, a sunroof, keyless ignition and entry, heated mirrors, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power front seats (with two-way adjustable lumbar), a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, leatherette (vinyl) upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Safety Connect emergency communications, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and an eight-speaker sound system with CD player, satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB audio interface.

The 2014 Lexus ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission are standard. In Edmunds performance testing, the ES 350 went from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, which is on par with its competitors. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 24 mpg combined (21 mpg city/31 mpg highway).

Adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and a pre-crash safety system. All models come with front, knee, side and curtain airbags, stability control, ABS and brake assist.

The 2014 Lexus ES 350 is a midsize entry-level luxury popular sedan in the GCC market.
