مع مرور الوقت، تؤدي الحرارة العالية تحت غطاء المحرك إلى ضعف وتغيّر لون الخزان البلاستيكي العلوي للرديتر. وعند تشققه، يتسرّب سائل التبريد بسرعة، فترتفع حرارة المحرك وقد تحدث أضرار جسيمة.
تم استبدال رديتر ميتسوبيشي باجيرو بالكامل، مع تركيب خراطيم ومشابك جديدة وتعبئة سائل تبريد جديد، لاستعادة كفاءة نظام التبريد.
