The eMatterz Fast & Furious Extreme Car Park event brought together more private cars than any previous car show in the GCC.
The event which consisted of two main areas, the 'Extreme Car Park Car Show' and the 'Extreme Drift Zone', brought together car enthusiasts from across the UAE with many registrants driving in from other GCC countries.
Dubai Studio City was 'invaded' by over 1500 exhibitor cars converging on the 'Fast & Furious Extreme Car Park' event. The event, which was organized by eMatterz 'First for Movies' to coincide with the theatrical run of the FAST & FURIOUS 6 title here, was expected to bring in between 2 to 3 thousand people. However, by the end of the day, the venue saw nearly 6 thousand people spread throughout the environment that went far beyond any of our earlier expectations.
Julian Smith, Cord Newman and Alex Hill were absolute professionals that dealt with the last minute venue change and unfavorable weather conditions on the day impeccably well, ensuring that, though space was limited, the crowds were able to get a taste of what it takes to put together the car chase & drift scenes we all see in the movies.
Julian Smith, when asked about the tightness of the venue, said, "Listen, anyone can drift in a big space, it might be fun to look at, but it's not challenging for a professional. What eMatterz ended up delivering went far beyond my expectations and allowed me to show the difference between a professional driver and a regular car park drifter. Hats-off to the guys at eMatterz! Dubai is a great place full of great people and I'm always blown away by the enormity of its fantastic car culture."
The event was a collaborative effort by all of our partners, who each played a vital role in ensuring the first "Fast & Furious Extreme Car Park" event was a resounding success.

We'd also like to thank all of the wonderful volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly on the day. Your support is highly appreciated and our team would like to extend our gratitude to each and every one of you on a job well done.
A special thanks to Selim El Azar, Ahmad Golchin and the brilliant team at Gulf Film, the Middle East distributors of FAST & FURIOUS 6, for supporting this concept and helping us to turn this vision into a reality.
