🚨 New parking scam in Dubai (RTA warning) 🅿️🇦🇪

You park, spot a QR code, scan it, “pay” — and your money goes to scammers 💸❌
Then you still get a fine for unpaid parking 🎫😤

⚠️ RTA’s official advice:
Don’t scan random QR codes on poles, signs, or stickers.
Don’t click unknown links either 🔗🚫

✅ Pay ONLY via official channels:
📲 RTA app
📩 Parking SMS
🏧 Official/branded parking terminals

👀 See a suspicious QR code? Report it to RTA immediately 📣

In Dubai, you can easily pay 2x more for car repairs just by choosing the wrong garage 🚗💸
Here are 5 red flags you’re probably being scammed 👇

1️⃣ “This part must be replaced” — but no proof
They don’t show you the old part, no photos, no clear explanation of what’s wrong 🧩
✅ A good garage always shows and explains.

2️⃣ No proper written estimate
Only “roughly this much”, “around this price” 🙄
In Dubai, decent garages give a detailed, itemized quote with parts + labor 💰📄

3️⃣ They push fake urgency
“It has to be changed today”, “you can’t drive like this” ⚠️
Classic pressure trick so you don’t have time to think, compare, or get a second opinion.

4️⃣ No warranty at all
They don’t give any warranty on labor or parts 🧾
A basic warranty is standard for a normal, professional garage ✅

5️⃣ No RTA license
The garage has no RTA license or dodges the question when you ask directly 🎭
If they’re not transparent about licensing — that’s your sign to walk away 🚶‍♂️

Annual car inspection in Dubai: how NOT to fail the first time 🚗✅

Everyone in Dubai knows you must pass vehicle inspection every year.
What most people forget: it’s very easy to fail on the first try — and then you pay again and waste time 🕒💸

Here’s a simple checklist to pass from the first attempt 👇

1️⃣ Day before the test
Check:
🛢 Fluids
🛑 Brakes
🪢 Seat belts
🧽 Wipers
🪞 Mirrors
🪟 Windshield (no major cracks)
⚠️ No warning lights on the dashboard

2️⃣ Tint 🌗
Max 50% on side windows.
Better to measure it in advance — don’t rely on “it looks okay”.

3️⃣ Tires 🚙
✅ Good tread
✅ No bulges or cracks
✅ Not too old production year

4️⃣ Lights 💡
Everything must work:
🔦 Headlights
🟧 Indicators
🚦 Brake lights
↩️ Reverse light
🔲 Plate lighting

5️⃣ Engine & exhaust 🛠
If the car is smoking, shaking, or misfiring — go to a mechanic first, then to Tasjeel.

How to buy your first car in Dubai as an expat 🚗🇦🇪
Saving this will save you money 👇

1️⃣ You need a residence visa
Work, family or freelance visa ✅
With these, you can buy and register a car.
On a tourist visa, you’ll almost always have problems with loans and registration 🚫

2️⃣ Cash vs loan
💵 Cash — easier, faster, no overpayments.
🏦 Loan — smaller monthly hit, but:
- The bank checks your salary 💰
- How long you’ve worked in the UAE 📅
- May ask for 20–30% down payment 💸
- Plus salary certificate and bank statement 📄

3️⃣ Timeline: 3–7 days ⏱️
From choosing the car to getting the keys:
✅ Bank approval
✅ Insurance
✅ Registration

4️⃣ Hidden first‑month costs people forget about:
🛡 Insurance
📄 Registration
🛣 Salik (toll)
🅿️ Parking
🛠 Sometimes the first service
