🏁 Dakar 2027 Will Not Take Place in Saudi Arabia

Due to the security situation, the rally will be relocated from Saudi Arabia to Europe and Africa.

The event will retain the full Dakar format, with a Prologue, 12 stages and more than 4,000 km of special stages.

The rally will start in Europe before moving to Africa by ferry.

📅 Key Dates
9 January – Prologue in Europe
10 January – Stage 1 in Africa
22 January – Finish

16 November – Registration deadline, with additional time allowed for payments and administrative procedures

The exact countries, start and finish locations are still awaiting official confirmation from the respective governments.

The new route is expected to be announced next Monday or Tuesday. A second newsletter will follow with logistical details and exact dates.
