Darb Timings

Charges will apply from Monday to Saturday in two periods:
Morning peak timing: 8am to 10am
Evening peak timing: 2pm to 6pm

Mawaqif Timings

Paid hours will run from Monday to Saturday across two intervals
9am to 6pm
9pm to 2am

Fees are set at Dh2 per hour for standard parking spaces and Dh3 per hour for premium spaces

New Darb Toll Gate rules have started from 1st of September:

- Removed daily and monthly toll caps for private vehicles
- Evening timings extended from 3 PM to 7 PM
- Every toll-date pass will incur a charge of AED 4

Please note the reduction in speed limits on the highways. Drive safe.

Abu Dhabi-Sweihan road (E20) – Reduced from 120kmph to 100kmph

Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed International Road (E11) – Reduced from 160kmph to 140kmph

Abu Dhabi authorities announced the implementation of reduced speed limits on major highways starting April 14. The limits were reduced by 20kmph.

The new UAE traffic law, Federal Decree-Law No. (14) of 2024, comes into effect tomorrow, March 29, 2025.

Please be aware and drive carefully. Ignorance of the law cannot be an excuse if found in violation. Important rules to be aware of:

1. Driver Arrest Conditions: Drivers can be arrested for causing death or injury, reckless driving, driving under the influence, or refusing to provide identification.
2. Foreign License Penalties: Driving with an unrecognized foreign license incurs fines ranging from AED 2,000 to AED 50,000, with repeat offenses leading to imprisonment.
3. Drunk Driving Penalties: Fines for driving under the influence range from AED 20,000 to AED 200,000, with license suspension or cancellation for repeat offenses.
4. Jaywalking Consequences: Crossing roads improperly can result in fines up to AED 10,000 and imprisonment.
5. Hit-and-Run Incidents: Fleeing the scene of an accident can lead to imprisonment and fines up to AED 100,000.
