🔧 QUICK ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC TIP 🔧

You can tell a lot about your outboard just by looking at the cylinder head!

WHITE cylinder = No combustion
Possible causes: Bad spark plug, No fuel, Low compression

BLACK/DARK cylinder = Combustion is happening
But too much carbon = running rich

If 1 cylinder is white and the others are black, you’ve found your dead cylinder 👌
This works on Johnson, Yamaha and most outboards.
