"What’s your style? Hunting or farming?
...A hunter goes out to find meat that their family will eat for a few days. Soon enough, the food runs out and they must go back and hunt for more.

On the other hand, a farmer goes through a step by step process which involves planning, soil preparation, planting, irrigation, weeding and pest control before they can enjoy a bounty harvest.

There are people who handle the sales and marketing like hunters. They go out to sell and are only interested in immediate results. Then there are those who handle selling like farmers. In this case, they have a complete process with steps for each and they are not looking for immediate results.

This book is about handling sales like a farmer. What you want to have is a bounty harvest in terms of sells unlike going out to hunt every time.

Both approaches to selling do work. Howver, hunting is more suitable for occasional entrepreneurship. If your plan is to build a long lasting brand, you want to be a farmer.
