Morning just afew tips,take your foot off the accelerator early and brake early in a smooth,light fashion.Anticipating stops and avoiding abrupt braking will decrease fuel consumption and increase the life of your brakes and tyres.Set yourself a weekly petrol limit and avoid short journeys where posible.Set up a scheme and get youre for example to pitch in on the fuel costs for e.g School runs,or just heading to work or even church.Enjoy the rest of the day.

Today its Oil Change,oil undregoes thermal breakdown due to high operating temperature.When this occurs,the oil becomes less effective as alubricant.And without a good lubricant,parts of the engine rub together and wear each other out.Oil also contains additives that have the ability to neutralize acids.Over time these additives get used up and stop being effective.Finally,oil can absorb water,dust and combustion by products and also hold them in suspension.Eventually,the oil gets saturated with stuff and cant absorb anymore.Then that stuff remains in the engine and can cause corrosion.Make a must to check the oil or ire

Another quotion on tire wortheness Tires have a life span and do not be fooled by looks the recomeneded lifespan for a brand new tire has a shelf life of 5years taking into consideration of terain overrall life span of 65,000km but please check youre tires for the dates.And for a good second hand tire we would not recomend but going by budgets we would recomend you again check for the dates on the tires but for to get full cash benefit buy news tires from a recommended tyre dealer.

We have now entered the rainy season and we would urge all motorists to make sure that there vehicles are in proper shape from wipers to brakes to even parkin lights especially brake lights its very easy to assume youre brake lights are ok just ask somebody to check as you brake tyres also are a must.To enjoy a good drive follow our tips and we are alyways at your service.

Today battery care tips especially with the onset of the rains.1.When its raining and fogy most swicth on there fog or parking lights then when they arrive forget to swicth them off so you may have a situation where you cannot start the car so caution check youre lights.2.Once in a week check for the accumulation of sulphur on both terminals and the easiest way of cleaning the sulphur is boil hot water and pour on the terminals.3Once in a use an authorised battery dealer to check for electrolite strenght.From Oak we wish a plesant day.
