Just and update regarding this mechanic MARTIN KNOETZE, operating from 44 PETERSVALE ROAD KABEGA. ,

Matter has been taken to small claims court, and judgment was awarded AGAINST HIM,
He was supposed to appear yesterday at small claims but did not rock up,despite many attempts from small claims court to get ahold of him.
The court is now exploring other avenues to make him compliant.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MARTIN KNOETZE!!!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN.
He has no decency, and has been found guilty and now seems he is running.

Here is my story. On 25 November 2024 we took our Jeep Wrangler 2.8 CRD to Robbie. Initially it was injectors but in the end he overhauled the whole engine. Every time something new. R53000 later we removed the Jeep from his premises on 25 May 2025 still not running. More than once we found Robbie looking at Youtube videos how to assemble the engine again after he took it apart. We got the Jeep back in a worse condition we took it to him. He made many promises on when the Jeep will be finished, but when we got there nothing had been done.
I even went so far as registering a case at MIOSA, but to date it is still open with them.
Reading through my WhatsApp messages with Robbie is like looking at a sitcom. Disgracefully hillarious. I will not sent my worst enemy to him.

Today im doing something that i would never thought i will ever do..but for 9 months this so called Mechanic Robbie Breakspear stole my peace and Captured my Soul with his horrible workmanship. I need to warn people about him as he is also hiding behind his christianity and so called charity cases. He is a smooth talker, bullsh*ter,disrespectful , betrayer and the most dishonest mechanic that i ever experienced in my life and his track record goes beyond.He quoted me R8000 for minor repairs which i had to pay immediate, but he ended up in my injectors, dieselpump, 3 burned starters and many more. The starter and battery was done brand new in April 2025 and why new starters had to be fit unexplainable and this was not what my bus went in for. When he received my bus for repairs( i just came back from a Kalahari trip 2300 km with no problems just a boost pipe that had to be refit and a diagnostic test was done at kalahari garage showing bus was in perfect condition.) He took my bus with his family in the evening for a pizza as a test drive and then told me how awesome my bus drive and the incredible power it has but 4 months later i had to tow it out of his so called workshop/ scrapyard ..Shirley street, newtonpark where there are other cars standing for more than a year. 3 other mechanics had to try and fix what he broke..new parts which was never an issue had to be refit . R35000 and 9 months later without Transport. I really hope that other people will be warned against him. I cannot understand where the motor industry board is to stop these people.Please if there is anyone else that went through the same experience raise your voice and also inbox me. I have already a few names.

So after 11 months the car was not fixed,the client then took the matter to small claims court, Judgment was ruled against him,(martin knoetze)Now awaiting a lifestyle audit, so that payment can start.

Lesson: you can decieve people, but eventually it catches up,doesn't matter who you think you are,no one is above the law.

I never thought I’d have to post something like this—but I need to protect others from going through what I did. If you're in PE, stay far away from Peter Hattingh & Debbie Trollip

WHAT HAPPENED:
• In January and February, I gave them my car and motorbike for repairs.
• The car was meant to be done in 1 week, the bike in 1 month.
• I paid them over R40,000 upfront for the work.

4 MONTHS LATER (May):
• My vehicles are still not givin back to me
• I’ve been lied to and fed excuse after excuse.
• Every time I was told to collect, something “came up.”
• When we stopped sending more money, things got worse.

THEIR TACTICS:
• They promised returns that never came.
• They dodged the police by closing the workshop whenever I arrived.
• I showed the police proof via WhatsApp where Peter refused to return the vehicles—but they said they couldn’t act unless he said it in person.
• When police finally called him, he claimed I could collect everything and get my money back but they lied again.
• Turns out, both my car and bike had been stripped for parts—many already sold.
• They’ve stolen over R40,000 cash, a bike worth R80,000, and a car worth R150,000 from me.

WHAT I’VE DONE:
• I’ve hired a lawyer, who told me they’re already involved in two other cases against Peter & Debbie for scamming others.

WHY I’M POSTING:
I’m still fighting to get my money and property back.
But I’m also posting this to warn YOU.
Don’t fall for their fake business or empty promises.
Please share this so no one else in Port Elizabeth becomes a victim.
