Greetings everyone,

The ongoing turmoil in oil and fuel prices seems to have slipped under the radar. However, the situation remains precarious. With oil prices exceeding $110 and the rand's current position, brace yourselves for another significant price hike next month. It is anticipated to surpass the already hefty increase we experienced this month. I am uncertain whether the government will extend the R3 discount granted last month.

Drawing from last month's events, I have a hunch that major players will once again manipulate fuel supplies. But that's just my personal view.

Recent data indicates a projected rise of R14.14 for diesel and R5.55 for petrol. It is only the 7th of the month, and much can change before month-end. Next week will provide a clearer picture of fuel prices for the upcoming month. I will provide another update then.
