CANchecked is a German manufacturer of advanced digital displays and gauges for performance and motorsport vehicles. Their devices connect to your car’s ECU via the CAN bus or OBD2 port to monitor, check, and log critical real-time engine data.
Depending on your specific car and the setup, a CANchecked display can be used to check:

We are proud to announce another one of our Turbozentrum and FueLab combined sponsors Sam Carr,
Sam has built cars since he was 16 and hes always been into anything fast with an engine, arent we all. He has always focused on his passion for Japanese performance cars and started building cars for drifting. Quite excitingly Sam has had quite a few magazine features over the years for his unique vehicle choices and styles. Sam likes classic and unique builds that usually get overlooked, which we can totally get behind. Between drifting and circuit driving Sam decided to build a Mazda rx7 fb, this was a blind purchase off ebay that he soon realised parts are hard to acquire. which led to him spending years doing many variants and he ended up with a Mazda body, Nissan s14 subframe swap, 700hp k20 turbo and carbon body. Sam taught himself the skillsets on the go to complete the build himself but with some much appreciated help from friends and sponsors.

Excitingly Sam has now started the car you see in the second slide, which is a 1972 Datsun 510, a unique style with not many around, it caught his classic car eye. This is a built k24 turbo with Antilag. A 3.5” system that exits out the back door, custom coilovers, bmw 6 speed gearbox, and more unique details to follow which we cant wait to see let alone stunning its stuff out on the track, keep your eyes peeled.

let’s talk wastegates and blow off valves!
Wastegates and Blow Off Valves are both designed to vent air, however, they are engineered for two different types of air flow.
BOV and waste gates are essential components of a turbocharged engine, but they manage air on entirely opposite sides of the system. Wastegates regulate exhaust gas flow on the “hot side” to control turbo boost, whereas BOVs vent compressed air on the “cold side” when the throttle closes to protect the turbocharger from damage.

We are delighted to introduce our new FueLab and Turbozentrum combined sponsor Gabija, we are so excited to have her on the team. Gabi helps to run a family workshop in Hereford which can make life busy, but cars have always been her thing, and every spare minute goes into building, fixing or driving them.

The M3 S54 has been her dream since she was little. And once she had healed from the accident at a young age, she finally got to meet it: the BMW E46 M3.

People say it makes no sense to drift that engine — they’re probably right — but Gabi wanted to, so she did.

With drift season here, her focus is on her BMW E46 “Purple Wrath” (also known as “Blue”), which she's just rebuilt herself. It runs an S54 with a TurboSystems setup, just over 600hp at 0.8 bar. She's not chasing big numbers — she knows competing in Class 2 on road tyres means it’s about balance and reliability. Unfortunately, the engine block had a micro crack from day one, which only showed up last week.

Next step: bigger and better. she is going to run a temporary M50 for the season while building a new S54 with a sleeved block, custom pistons, lower compression and a slightly smaller turbo for better response, staying on ethanol. For good measure she's also building a naturally aspirated S54 for an E36 shell as a backup — we all know seat time is everything.

This year Gabi will be competing in the full Drift League season. Very excitingly Gabi has also been invited to Baltic Drift Days (Lithuania/Latvia) and plans to travel more. Gabi also has passenger rides booked this summer, which she loves — it’s all about sharing drifting with people. The more people exposed to the sport the better the sport becomes.

Gabi already has wastegates from us, which shes assured us work brilliantly, shes uses 2 x CompGate40 which can be found on the website. For her new S54 engine with smaller compression she has been eyeing some of the turbos in our wide and vast selection. But she is still trying to figure out the best size that will make the engine sing. We will always be here to advise on the turbos we have and cant wait to see what Gabi chooses and uses this season.
