According to the Famer’s Almanac, January temperatures will start out mild for much of the country but will trend toward colder conditions during the middle to the latter part of the month. But overall, the month will be stormy, especially along the Atlantic

American Thanksgiving Day!

Celebrated in honor of the tradition of giving thanks, for the harvest for the entire year across the United States, Thanksgiving is regarded as the beginning of the fall-winter holiday season. Although this day will be observed as a holiday in the U.S., our Head Office will be open on Thursday, November 25th.

The Weather Channel released the 2021-22 winter storm names list, marking the 10th season of naming winter storms. The names will be used in alphabetical order to identify winter storms that meet objective naming criteria based on National Weather Service winter storm warnings, blizzard warnings and ice storm warnings. In the U.S., this winter will deal an icy combo of above-average snowfall and below-average temperatures in the New England area, as well as parts of the Appalachian region, the Ohio Valley and the northern part of the Deep South. Interestingly enough, it predicts a colder and snowier-than-usual winter for southern New Mexico, as well. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, January 2022 temperatures will average out milder than normal over much of Eastern and Central Canada, particularly during the first half of the month with a trend toward colder weather toward month’s end.
February, on the other hand, looks very cold, particularly across the Prairies and Rockies. British Columbia won’t be as frigid, but even out there, an unseasonable chill will be evident during the second week and again during the final days of the month.
