Fuel is back!

As of today, gas is available again. We know how critical this is for our customers, travelers, and our entire territory travelling along Highway 1 and we are relieved to be able to restore service.

This disruption was not caused by operational issues on our end. It was the direct result of a SUDDEN and UNEXPLAINED decision by the BANK OF MONTREAL to terminate our banking services without notice. That decision immediately cut off our ability to process fuel supply payments and maintain normal operations.

Let’s be clear: small, remote, community-based businesses should not be put in a position where a single institution’s decision can shut down essential services overnight. What happened here is unacceptable, and it highlights a much bigger issue about access to reliable banking in the North.

We are continuing to pursue answers and accountability.

To our customers: THANK YOU! Your patience and support during this has meant everything.

We are NOT done speaking up!

We want to sincerely apologize to our customers and community.

We understand the importance of a reliable gas station along highway 1.

This situation was caused by a sudden and unanticipated decision by the BANK OF MONTREAL (BMO) that has directly impacted our ability to operate. We are actively working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

We understand how important fuel access is—especially in our territory—and we are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience and disruption BMO has caused. This is not a situation we ever expected to be in, and we share in your frustration.

We will provide updates as soon as we have them. Thank you for your patience and support while we work through this.
