PUBLIC ADVISORY

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) REGION V advises all motorists to take note of the contingency routes identified by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for Mayon Volcano Eruption.

In the event of lahar flow or ashfall affecting major national roads:

• Motorists traversing the Legazpi–Sto. Domingo–Tabaco Road are advised to take the Tabaco–Ligao National Secondary Road as an alternate route.

• If the Daang Maharlika Highway (Camalig Section) becomes impassable, vehicles from Manila bound for Sorsogon or Legazpi City should use the Camalig–Comun–Gapo–Peñafrancia National Secondary Road.

• In case of ashfall in Guinobatan affecting the Maharlika Highway, motorists are advised to reroute via the Ligao–Tabaco National Secondary Road.

All drivers are encouraged to remain alert, plan trips accordingly, and follow traffic advisories and instructions from authorities. Your safety is our priority.
