BMW e60 part 2
In addition to the full vehicle service the owners also supplied a coolant line which was in need of replacement. This coolant line snaked its way below the intake manifold and as such the manifold was removed for installation.
Once the manifold was removed it revealed a strong presence of oil build-up coating the interior walls of the intake. Likely caused by blown turbo oil seals which have allowed oil to mix with the compressed intake air and into the combustion cylinders.
In addition to the coolant leak that was previously known to the owners a secondary leak was found by us. As replacement coolant line was not readily available a temporary repair was made until the part could be ordered and shipped in.
