Take a quick walkthrough of the Camp-let Earth by Isabella. There is a lot to love, but what we love most is the tent feel you get while sleeping in secluded sleeping cabins up off the ground.

We had the pleasure of attending Glamping Show Americas this week. The versatility of Camp-let is not only a comfortable outdoor experience for individuals who choose to own it, but also a viable option for campsite operators to rent out.

One of the many things people love about Camp-let: a spacious, 194 square-foot living space with two secluded sleeping cabins, each capable of sleeping two people.

Windows open, letting the fresh air in.

The added kitchenette adds additional storage and convenient food prep.

His answer: no damage across a full season, on the six new units or the three now in their second year. He says you cannot tell the older ones are a year old. Maintenance is one wash a year, then a cover and storage for winter. In spring, two people set the fleet up again and a cleaning crew readies them for guests. He compares that to the caravans and cabins on the same site, where his team is dealing with repairs all the time.

Then there is the guest side. When Feddet Strand rents a caravan, staff walk every guest through how it works: water, power, the small things that break. With the Camp-lets, he says, they never have to. Guests figure it out on their own. For a team that runs 100 rental units, that is real time back.

Kasper's closing line, when we asked what he would say to an operator considering it, “do it now”.

The full interview plays on loop at booth 806, September 29 and 30. If you run or are building an outdoor hospitality site, stop by. We will walk you through the unit itself.

Some context that makes those numbers more useful. The area the units sit on was rebuilt after storm flooding hit the campsite three times in three months. Feddet Strand redesigned it in half a year as a new area for motorhomes, caravans, and Camp-let rentals on raised decks. The Camp-lets run as a summer product, mid-May to the start of September, and Kasper says the case holds at that occupancy. He also says the units are among the cheapest rental products on the site, at roughly half the high-season price of a cabin, which is part of why they fill.

An operator explaining his own reorder is the kind of proof we would rather show than say.

Next week we are at Glamping Show Americas in Aurora, Colorado. Before we get there, we want to introduce one of the European operators who runs Isabella Camp-lets as rental units, and let him do the talking.

Feddet Strand Resort sits on the coast of Denmark, south of Copenhagen. It has been a campsite since the 1960s, and since 2009 the family behind it has been investing to put it among the best sites in Europe. By Kasper's account, it has worked. He is the resort's Director, and he told us Feddet Strand has been named Denmark's best campsite seven years running and is the only Danish site on the list of Europe's top 100. Around 700 pitches, around 100 rental units, and a team that grows to about 130 people in high season.

The Camp-let is a Danish tent trailer we have made for decades. Feddet Strand added three to its rental fleet as a glamping product, on decks the resort built itself. This interview was filmed on one of those decks.

Over the next three days we will share the three parts of the conversation that matter most to US operators and developers: why Kasper chose the Camp-let, what the numbers looked like after the first season, and how the units have held up.

The full interview runs on loop at booth 806, September 29 and 30. If you are in Aurora, come find us.

There is a certain rhythm to setting up camp. A process starts to develop of what you unpack or setup first. Each step apart of what makes being outside so enjoyable.

Coffee before the camp wakes up. The part the setup video never shows you.

Setting up Camp-let is the part everyone asks about. When you’re familiar with the steps, about twenty minutes from towing to a place you can actually live in. The rest of the day is the point. ⛺

This is what the nuCamp Haven looks like with a Ventura AIR Dove.
Air tubes instead of poles. Connect at the keder rail on the Sun canopy, inflate, and the trailer becomes a proper outdoor living room.
For Haven owners, that’s more covered room to settle into and stay comfortable, wherever their travels take them.
