Nice little 67 Mustang, everyone has to learn and I’m all for that, but sometimes the learning curve can steep and expensive, especially with a Ford, they were known for having 7 different versions of everything, the engine developed some valve train and cylinder head issues and the owner wanted to do the repairs himself, he watched some YouTube videos and got some bad advice from the internet, couple that with some incorrect and incompatible parts from eBay and long story short he ended up with an engine that ran poorly and had a damaged camshaft, tore the engine down, replaced the cam and lifters, then researched and sourced the correct valve train components for the heads he installed and now it runs great, back to being the great little cruiser he was wanting it to be

So, I’ve been putting this off, but has to be done at some point, I had a back injury first of the year and have been dealing with that, had a little surgery last week, at the advice of my surgeon my days of being a mechanic for a living are quickly coming to an end. It’s time for me to find something to do for a living that doesn’t require physical labor if I want to remain functional going forward , those of you who know me know this has basically been a dream job for me, better to have had it for a while instead of never at all I suppose, I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to everyone that has supported me during this chapter of my life, special thanks to my incredible wife Julie who has 100 % got my back no matter what, hopefully next week I can ease back in, I still have a few cars left on my list to finish, so a few more car posts before I embark on the next chapter of my life

1964 Impala, 6.2 LT and 6L80E trans, full air ride, aftermarket gauges, and more, built by the owner who is not a mechanic by trade in his garage, I’m personally impressed at the level of skill he possesses, removed the rear differential carrier and installed a limited slip unit and new set of Richmond gears, final tune and an alignment and this cool cat is ready for the streets

Not something you see everyday , a 56 Lincoln Premier , passed on from father to son , pulled it out of a shed where it had been sitting for over 7 years, very nice car, just needs a good bath , put some fresh gas in it, spent a little time and got it to start and run, Ole girl runs and drives surprisingly well , got some strange looks from people on the street while I was driving it, new owner going to take over from here 😁
