Play hard, pay hard…. After busting through a few drive belts and going to a chain drive, this customer has put I believe two stock transmissions in his scoot, but when you ride hard on a built engine (128 CID, cammed, and tuned) that stress will come to a head at the weakest link.
Many people overlook the primary chain case components when they want a bigger, badder engine and more power. Please consider everything between the engine and where the rubber hits the road when you want to be able to reliably twist the hell out of your throttle and enjoy your bike with less headache.
I don’t typically suggest higher end components for everything, but a quick conversation with the rider led us to a Baker Drivetrain Grudge Box transmission and a complete Evolution Industries clutch basket replacement. He already had a Baker compensator assy from one of the previous failures.
Let me know what I can do for you…..
