I’m often asked “How big of a dent can you repair?” My answer is that it’s not the size of the dent that necessarily matters, as much as the affect on the metal and adequate access for my tools. Sharp creases or impact points that have stretched out the metal are more determinant, as well as good access for my tools, in relation to the internal structure behind the panels.
As you can see in the photos, these are large dents, but the metal wasn’t stretched out and front fenders typically have good access for the required tools to do the repair. Neither are absolutely perfect, but the customers were trying to avoid a traditional body shop repair that would have required panel replacement and paint work.
