Breakeven breakthrough at the National Ignition Facility

A breakthrough for fusion net energy gain. Precision Custom Components contributed to this project by machining 18 "soccer ball-type" segments so they fit together as a perfect sphere to enable the lasers to focus on the target.

Precision Custom Components would like to extend a very special ✨CONGRATULATIONS✨ to the SkillsAWS Welding Fabrication Champions!!

Competing against 42 other states, Aliana Myers, Beauen Garmen, and Camden Elmo pulled through with first place after districts, states and lastly nationals. Precision Custom Components donated $1,000 to support the teams preparation, allowing them to achieve this goal.

We couldn't be more proud to support the New Oxford Welding Fabrication Team and look forward to keeping in touch with these bright students to support their future endeavors. 🥇

We're so excited to see Top Gun back on our screens after 36 years! From the USS Enterprise (CVN 65) used back in the '86 film to the Nimitz-class USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) and USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) used in the sequel, the aircraft carriers of the have always played an important role in bringing the story of Top Gun to life.

Precision Custom Components had a very special visit from the New Oxford High School SkillsUSA Welding Team.

Camden Elmo (Senior), Aliana Myers (Junior) and Beauen Garman (Senior) were tasked with creating a wood-fired pizza oven from a small package of carbon steel materials. Judging consisted on craftsmanship, accuracy, a welding knowledge tests, presentation of the project and a short interview. After taking 1st place, the team moved on to states.

At Pennsylvania College of Technology, they took the package and blueprints that were provided and fabricated a tip hopper in only 6 hours! Competing against 11 different teams statewide, they took 1st place again! 🥇

Now the team is headed to the National Competition in Atlanta, GA. We sent the team off with a donation for their efforts and PCC gift bag filled with lots of snacks for their drive to Georgia in June!
