I sat down tonight and really looked at what’s gone on the past 2 weeks for us here at Myers small engine and equipment. A single post reached over 100k views, we gained 100 followers on the page, and had a number of people reach out about work. That being said, we appreciate all the support and hope to continue to grow. We have always been active members in the community and want to thank everyone for all the support in what we do.

Though through tragedy we have grown, i hope that we can continue to help our community and support local events and businesses. We look forward to doing everything we can here to bring our neighbors together and make things easier for those around us. We fell behind a little this week while we supported mountain creek campground in their clean up efforts, but I wouldn’t change the decision to help for anything.

Now that I have a new phone and I am able to I will be back to posting repair photos as I finish jobs. We hope that seeing what we are capable of will help our new followers to see and understand what we really do here. Not only are we big supporters of latimore valley machinery association, Latimore fair grounds, eastern museum of motor racing, and all of our local businesses, we are also here to support our friends and neighbors in their time of need by getting their equipment up and running.

For those that are new here we work on everything from atvs, utvs, mowers, chippers, stump grinders, skid steers, tractors, attachments, snow blowers, rototillers and much more. With 25 years experience in small engines and several years experience in other machines, we do our best to give you the best repair for the best price. Today’s post is about much more than what we are working on or the progress we are making. This weekend we took a much needed break to go camping with friends at Mountain Creek Campground, our trip was cut very short by the devastating storm that came through on July 4th. That being said today we mourn the loss of a mother and son who tragically lost their lives amidst the storm and the father who is critical. For those of you that support us here we hope that you can support the family who has lost not just stuff, but lives in this storm. We did everything we could to help everyone we could and are still doing everything we can to help mountain creek recover from this. My wife and I spent the day with a bunch of great people who stepped up when the campground needed it. We want to thank the first responders, clean up crews, employees, volunteers, and campers who stepped up in the storm yesterday and after the storm today to help make the best of a horrible situation. Our thoughts are with the landis family as they grieve, along with those who have lost campers and those who were injured at deer run and in the surrounding community. For all my customers who would like to help the family I will share the gofundme for the landis family and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

All that being said I will be returning to work on everything Tuesday as I will continue to help in the clean up effort at mountain creek. We just wanted to share some of the pictures we took on our way out Saturday and of some of the damage to the cabin that our close friends family was supposed to be in, but luckily a plate of Mac and cheese saved them, and a few of today as we helped to haul brush and logs to make things accessible and safe for the next group of campers to come in.

Hey everyone we’re doing another Tshirt sale, orders will be due to be in by July 4th and I will be placing the order on the 5th. There seemed to be a lot of people that didn’t get orders in last time so we decided just to do another sale, that being said i won’t be doing orders again till after the new year. Same as before shirts will be grey, black, hi vis. Sweatshirts are black or grey, and hats are the SnapBack trucker style shown in the picture. Next Saturday, join us for our annual Touch A Truck from 11am-2pm! We will have a variety of vehicles and food trucks along with a Kid Zone with a bounce house, spin art and bubbles. Excellent family photo opportunities!

Just an update for all my customers, as of today we now accept credit cards. There is a 2% fee for using a card but, it’s an option for those that don’t carry cash or check. We also now accept Venmo as a form of payment. This makes it so we can now accept cash, check, credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, google pay, and Venmo as payment. So for all of you looking to get some work done but don’t have cash we can still get you taken care of.
