Why I STOPPED Using Wix Filters on my BMW 🛑
Just hit over 218,000 miles on the BMW, so it was time for some fresh oil. I’ve been running AMSOIL European 0W-40 in this car for a while now, but we made a big change today. I officially ditched the WIX filters because they kept collapsing on me, which completely ruins the filtration. I switched over to the MANN filter for this drain interval to see if it holds up better.
Paired with an upgraded metal filter housing cap and a spill-proof funnel, this is the perfect garage day setup. The best part about running 100% synthetic AMSOIL? If life gets in the way and you go a little over your interval, you don’t have to stress. I’m doing a full oil analysis after 9,000 miles on this new filter, so stay tuned for the results.
Drop a comment with the word “EURO” and I’ll DM you the exact link to the AMSOIL setup I run in this high-mileage beast.
