HELLO, WYOMING —
We're small-business owners in Worland, and we're endorsing Brent Bien for Governor. Here's why.
Wyoming families are being told they must choose between keeping their homes and keeping their sheriff, their fire department, their ambulance service, and their schools. That is a false choice.
Brent Bien said it best himself: "Wyoming doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem."

Wyoming has roughly $34 billion in reserves generating nearly $1.9 billion in interest annually. Brent said the interest alone is enough to cover essential services without touching the principal.

And here's what matters to every small town reading this, Brent said directly:
"I will never cut emergency services. I will guarantee all are funded and have the necessary resources to accomplish their job. Protective services are the first Constitutional Priority of the government."

He even met with a resident of Atlantic City in Fremont County who asked how small towns would fund essential services like fire departments if property taxes are cut. He listened. He took that concern seriously. And his answer was: audit the state, eliminate the waste, and redirect those dollars to the counties.

As he put it: "The first thing I want as Governor, and before I approve any new appropriations, we will have a wall to wall statewide audit completed."
"We need an audit to improve Government efficiency, perform Gap analysis on government services, identify essential and non essentials, and eliminate frivolous spending."

He's calling for the first full state budget audit since 1989. Nearly four decades without a top-to-bottom review of where your money goes. He asked the question every Wyoming taxpayer deserves an answer to: "Where's all this money actually going? Is it really being spent on those essential services that we have out there?"

And he didn't just talk. He led the People's Ballot Initiative, the first citizen initiative to reach Wyoming's statewide ballot in 30 years, to cut residential property taxes by 50%. Over 340 volunteer circulators. Over 44,000 signatures.

Here's the bottom line for us:
Lower property taxes. Fully fund essential services. No income tax. No higher sales tax, Brent wants to CUT the sales tax from 4% to 3%. Audit the state. Cut the waste. Fund the counties. Put Wyoming people first.
Brent said it himself: "The government has no money. It is your money."

And: "Not one dollar of tax money should sit in any level of government reserve account while a tax lien exists on an occupied residence."

He is one of us. Please vote for Brent Bien.
