🚨 “Lifetime fluid” doesn’t mean you never service it.

This 2018 Subaru Impreza came in for a CVT fluid service, and there’s a reason Subaru CVTs have a drain plug.

While Subaru may describe the CVT fluid as “lifetime” under certain maintenance schedules, we recommend preventative CVT fluid service every 30,000–60,000 miles, depending on driving conditions and vehicle use.

Regular maintenance can help keep your CVT operating properly and give you the best chance at long-term reliability. 🔧

Don’t wait until your CVT has a problem to start thinking about the fluid.

2005 Forester XT Engine Refresh 🔧🛠️

This customer brought his engine in for a full assessment. After teardown, we found the cylinder heads and cam journals were severely scored and not reusable — cutting corners wasn’t an option.

What we did 👇
🔹 Installed a brand new Subaru short block
🔹 Replaced with brand new cylinder heads
🔹 Fully assembled the valvetrain
🔹 Torqued cylinder heads to factory spec
🔹 Performed a final valve adjustment

Now she’s fully refreshed, healthy, and heading back home so the owner can finish the project with total confidence. This is how you build it once—and build it right.
