OMG Racing

OMG Racing OMG Racing is an endurance racing team that participates in the 24 Hours of LeMons racing series. Well, as much as a $500 car can provide homage to AMG.

OMG Racing was founded in December, 2011 as an endurance motorsport racing venture. Ivan Insua, Rob O'Brien, Bobby Olsen, and Mike Rutledge are the founding members of the team. OMG Racing is an homage to the vaunted Affalterbach Motor Gruppe (AMG) sport tuning division of of Mercedes Benz. OMG Racing owns a Mercedes Benz S500 Coupe that is raced in the 24 Hours of LeMons race series founded by a

utomotive journalist John "Jay" Lamm. The team was awarded the "Dot Bomb" Marin County Regional Trophy at the 2013 Sears Pointless race in March 2013. Individually, Bobby and Rob began their racing careers piloting Alan Frisbie's 1958 Super Snipe at the 2012 Arse Sweat Apalooza. The team received the coveted Index of Effluency in this race. Mike has been racing for several years in the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), where he piloted a 1995 BMW M3. Ivan began his racing career with OMG Racing. The team has been joined by sometimes team member Mitch Anderson at the 2013 Sears Pointless and Sears Even More Pointless events.

Congrats to OMG Racing! Mike Rutledge, Rob O'Brien, and special guest stars Erich Newell and Mitch Anderson completed OMG's first black flag free race. The finish? 6th in class and 25th overall (79 entries) - fantastic! Top it all off with the team's second piece of hardware for Judge's Choice!

Bobby closes out the day with an hr and 20 in stint to the checker. OMG finishes the BFE GP 9th in Class B and 25th overall!

A great race in which EVERY car registered showed up and turned at least 40 laps! No major contact throughout the race, mostly clean driving, and very few DNFs!
