Yesterday I sent this 59 Apache forward to its next destination of completion. This is the last project John was involved with. As I watched it’s tail lights get smaller as the rollback drove into the distance it solidified that John and I’s 30 year run has ended. I think he would be pleased with how it turned out. Rest In Peace Brother! ❤️

With a heavy heart I’m letting everyone know that my right hand man John Schmidt passed in his sleep Monday night. All of us in his close circle are both in shock and deeply sorrowed. John has fought like the warrior he is for several years with numerous health conditions. He was a great man, good friend and extraordinary talented craftsman. We worked together for 30 years. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. A casual celebration of life is in the planning stages, possibly October 24th. For those who think they may want to attend please let me know and I will send it forward as attendance numbers may effect venue, seating etc. More details to follow.
