In search of a decent hood for this class project. We are disassembling to get everything over to Collision to get painted and in need of a decent hood to paint.

01/16/2026

Well its that time of year again. This year we are tearing both karts down. The Collision classes are going to be painting everything. The Auto classes are going to be servicing everything and setting up the karts. This upcoming season at Texoma we are going to have a challenge race between Auto and Collision, going for all the bragging rights.
We are in need of some parts, tires, and hoods, if you would like to help please let us know.
We also plan on having the marketing students design and wrap the hoods.
We need your help!

Building the fleet

05/18/2025

Been an eventful night so far. We start deep in the field, but on the bright side, we can only go forward.

Took the kart out for its maiden voyage last night. Had to shake it down, was chasing more speed all night. We should be close for the big show tonight. Come out and support our race team and watch some great racing here at Texoma Speedway

Heat 1 P3 to P4
Heat 2 P3 to P3
Feature P6 to P9, did hot finish due to Pittman arm bolt coming loose.

As the school year winds down we would like to thank a few sponsors who helped get this program off the ground. We now have something to build off of for next year and students are already asking if they can join the team.

Special thanks to:

The team finally got enough parts to start on the Dent B Gone, stock appearing motor. Today they installed crankshaft bearings and the crank. Assembled piston, rod, and installed rings.

All cleaned up and put back together. Kart is ready for the races this weekend.

We had a bent spindle and kingpin, made repairs, and then had a discussion about camber, caster, and how we use weight jacks on a kart. It was a good lesson on front end work.

We would like to thank Kevin with Dent-B-Gone Paintless Dent Repair as a major sponsor of our STEM Program. Kevin has graciously sponsored the parts to build a Stock Appearing engine for our kart build. Hopefully we can get the parts in time to get the engine built and on the kart for CEC Night next month.
If you have hail damage from the recent storms please give Kevin a call. He's born and raised here in Wichita Falls, a graduate of Hirschi, and has over 30 years in the dent repair business. You wont find a nicer guy to deal with. Make sure and tell him we sent you.
Again THANK YOU KEVIN!!! DENT-B-GONE!!!
