🚐 We are rehoming our 1986 Volkswagen 2WD, Westfalia Camper Van. We are relocating out of the country; unfortunately, we cannot take her with us.
History: Libby Van Go was built and exported from Germany to Texas. She was sold and taken to Bellingham, and on to Wenatchee, where I purchased her, in 2023. We are the third owners.
This classic automatic transmission,’86 VW camper is a 2.1L water-cooled and ready for her next owner. She has miles, but well-loved and in very good condition — no tr**ny issues, no accidents, no dents, no rust, and a straight, clean body. Her interior upholstery is fantastic. Last year I replaced the cab carpets with a matching custom set of floorcoverings. Other than the door panels, there's very little to no wear and tear, including the mattresses and covers on the main and overhead beds. all have been cleaned. The pop-top canvas was replaced four years ago. No issues, no mold no tears. The interior window curtains are original and in excellent condition. I replaced the gasket in the roof vent, last summer. The two cab seats swivel, the seatbelts and four armrests are all good. She comes equipped with the OEM front and rear swivel tables, closet mirror. Replica Vanagon P/S and
D/S rubber floor mats are included.

Vanagons are not equipped with camping batteries but....
What sets this one apart: She's been fully upgraded for off-grid camping with a Renogy two-lithium (200Ah) house battery system and 100W solar panel. Renogy Lithium camping batteries are a serious upgrade. they're lighter, longer lasting, and far more efficient than lead acid or AGMB. This system is next level. You can camp anywhere without needing a hookup.
✅200AH Renogy®️Lithium house battery power
✅100w Solar panel installed on poptop
✅Renogy®️1000W inverter W/remote switch
✅Renogy®️solar controller
✅Trailer plug-in under bumper
If I was keeping her, I would:
🚙Paint the door handles
🚙Replace the interior door panels
🚙Change the rear brakes
🚙Replace the dash heater fan
She has a permanent CLASSIC COLLECTOR VEHICLE plate and never needs re-registration!
Perfect for road trips, weekend kayakers, SUP boarders, surfers, weekend family campers, full-time van lifers, or a college student who wants a turnkey setup.
✅ No accidents
✅ A couple of minor scratches
✅ No dents — very good condition
✅ Classic VW reliability and charm
These classic VW campers are getting harder to find in this condition, especially with modern electrical camper upgrades already installed. She's never left us stranded. There's no need to "bring a trailer." Just pick her up and drive to the campground. I am asking $24,500. Clean title in hand. Serious inquiries only. Happy to answer questions or schedule a viewing.
