Happy Friday! We are revamping some things and we wanted to let you all know. We will be closed for the remainder of the year since we are under going some renovations and we needed to move around our figures into other buildings and therefore they are not organized to be seen at this time. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

We also have not been to the Elephants trunk to bring you folks some merchandise that we always do. Our websites online store is currently going away shortly and therefore we have opened a different store to bring you merchandise that has been in stock for a little while and needs to move along.

Jim Hanley was a friend of our family for over 50 years. Jim resided in Danbury since 1987 but grew up just down the road in Georgetown. Jim from a young boy watched his Uncle pull up in front of the house with a stock car being towed. This is where Jim's passion for racing started at the Danbury Fair Racearena on dirt Jim Recalled. Jim would become a avid race chaser and accomplish a record of 594 different tracks he attended to see racing competition. I asked him several years ago (What track is your all time favorite) He thought for a bit and said its Danbury.
Jim worked as a reporter and lead page designer in the sports dept for the Norwalk Hour for 40 years. Many photos on our page here were taken by Jim and he donated these to us several years ago for you all to enjoy. Jimmy will be greatly missed.

Good Morning Everyone I wanted to update you all that our Danbury Fair Museum is NOW open for the season, (Till end of Oct). We have many new items for viewing as 99% of our museum is Danbury Fair & Racearena. We are located in the hills of Wells Vt Just 3.5 hours North of Danbury and house 1000s of Danbury Fairgrounds items.
If you would like to visit call our office at 802-325-2259 and schedule your FREE guided tour 7 days a week depending on availability. General tour takes about 1 to 1.5 hrs

Ken Swingle long time model builder built much of this model all by hand and has donated it to our Danbury Fairgrounds Museum. The scale of the car is much bigger than we are use to seeing along with amazing detail and workmanship on this Chick Stockwell 151. This is a rendition of one of Chicks early Danbury cars with white on the bottom and the red on the top. Thank You Ken for your generosity ,you are a amazing Model builder. Don & Jenn

Handmade in the 1960s for The Great Danbury State Fairgrounds. We picked these original figures up today from a antique dealer who brought them up from Virginia. These will be permanent display items here at our Danbury Fair museum. We will have to do a count but we believe we may be close to having 250 original statues from The Danbury Fairgrounds at this point!

My Uncle David Johnson took the 151 for a quick spin to check out how it drove. I would say this is about the first time its been under its own power painted up the way Chick Stockwell had it and retired this car in 1969, And yes every single piece of bent up metal tells a story as this is the way it was raced. I can only believe Chick is looking on down with a huge smile. Getting closer to the finish for this one. Great Job Uncle Dave at Danbury Fair & Racearena memorabilia.

We are always amazed at the unique items that surface and this Monkey coin operated orchestra is definitely one of them.
This was once at The Great Danbury State Fair. On the back the (Order) card is still stapled to it as you will see in the photo below. We believe this is from the late 1950s. Jim recently met up with us to pass on this really cool piece that was donated by Lauren Post. Thank you Jim & Lauren we will have this on display and possibly even working in the near future! Here is the NEW 2026 Black Shirt! The design is to look Vintage hence the way it looks! We are now taking Pre-orders for this Shirt!

The print is on the back and front. The front will be the same thing just smaller, on left chest.

Reminder that we are offering these shirts as a way to keep funding our museum. Our primary business is Screen Printing & Embroidery and this is our Hobby that we all enjoy.
