!! So honored and excited!! 💖💃
Spotlight on Speakers for our Hort Harvest Symposium on Saturday, November 10th. Learn how to Capture Your Love of Gardening Through Photography with Lauren Graves. In this inspiring discussion, Lauren Graves will share stories of Light and Love and Spirit and Grace, and ways to capture that with a camera.
Alabama native Lauren Graves is an award-winning documentary photographer and the developer of the Perpetual Gardening Record Book. An avid gardener herself, Lauren has been photographing people and their gardens for more than 20 years, capturing the love that they feel for the earth. It was this love of the earth she felt from other gardeners, combined with her own love of gardening, that inspired Lauren to develop the Perpetual Gardening Record Book -- a simple, efficient and beautiful method for any level of gardener to keep track of all of the important details of their garden. Lauren has traveled the country both as a speaker and exhibitor at national events, including teaching a record-keeping workshop at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, and a photography workshop in his garden. The Hort Harvest Symposium will also feature a children’s fairy garden demonstration, scavenger hunt and storybook reading. We will host a plant sale and an exhibit area for local horticultural organizations and businesses from 9 am – 4:30 pm. Admission to the plant sale and exhibit area is free. Attendance to the presentations and children’s programs requires garden admission to Magnolia. Garden admission is $20 for adults. Children 12 & under will receive free admission.
